Welcome to the Green Light Headquarters

Each year you make a significant investment in your operation with one goal in mind – to increase the profit potential of each acre you farm. As management practices, seeds, and other inputs continue to change, there is an ever increasing need to match the acres you farm and management practices you use with the seeds you plant. That is where Specialty’s Green Light agronomy research comes into play. We invest in the success of your operation through our local research program to provide you better recommendations and better information to help you maximize the potential of every acre.

What is Green Light Certified?

When a Specialty product carries the Green Light Certified symbol, you can be sure Specialty’s Green Light agronomists have researched and examined the line-up thoroughly to match soil types, populations, fertilizer rates, nitrogen utilization,
and more.

#1 Unique Product Analysis

The central part of our one of a kind Green Light agronomy research is our unique product analysis process. It is an intense management and environment response evaluation system which generates accurate placement recommendations and a complete performance profile. It is based upon real, local data collected.

#2 Research & Testing

We begin by placing our entire corn product line-up into a network of over 30 replicated research sites covering our marketing area. Each site is planted and harvested using specialized research equipment. Yield, moisture, standability, and disease reaction information is collected and examined to provide more complete and accurate recommendations for your farm.

#3 Results & Publication

Valuable site information is carefully recorded. Green Light adds detailed soil information including the soil series, soil texture, organic matter content, drainage classification, water supplying capacity, and yield capability classification. At the same time, we conduct replicated research to study product response to nitrogen starter fertilizer, population densities, seed treatments, and foliar fungicides.

All of this data helps us provide you with better information on how our products perform in the same types of situations you face each and every year.

The end result...better product recommendations and placement matched to your farming practices to help maximize the potential of each acre planted.
